- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (or melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and diced (about 3 medium peaches)
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans work great)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced peaches and nuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once done, allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve as a breakfast treat or dessert; can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
