Description

A delightful dessert salad featuring fresh strawberries layered with creamy filling and sweet, crunchy graham cracker topping. Perfect for potlucks and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and brown sugar. Spread on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Let cool completely.
  2. 2. Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, approximately 3-5 minutes.
  4. 4. Gently fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture using a spatula until well combined and no streaks remain.
  5. 5. In a 9×13 inch dish, spread half the cream mixture on the bottom.
  6. 6. Layer half the sliced strawberries over the cream, distributing evenly.
  7. 7. Sprinkle half the cooled crackle topping over strawberries.
  8. 8. Repeat layers with remaining cream mixture, strawberries, and crackle topping.
  9. 9. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  10. 10. Serve chilled and enjoy within 2-3 days for best quality.

Notes

Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best texture, add fresh crackle topping just before serving if making ahead. Can be assembled in individual parfait glasses for elegant presentation.
