Ingredients
For the Beef:
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium optional)
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 sliced green onions
Optional: 1 tbsp gochujang for spice
For the Rice & Vegetables:
2 cups cooked rice (white, jasmine, or brown)
1 cup thinly sliced carrots, cucumber, or bell peppers
Optional: steamed broccoli, zucchini, or spinach
Garnish: sesame seeds, fried egg (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add Aromatics & Sauce: Stir in garlic and ginger, cook 1–2 minutes. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and optional gochujang. Mix well until beef is coated and sauce slightly thickens.
Add Green Onions & Sesame Oil: Stir in green onions and sesame oil. Toss well and remove from heat.
Prepare Rice & Vegetables: Cook rice according to instructions. Thinly slice or lightly sauté vegetables.
Assemble Bowls: Layer rice in bowls, add vegetables, and top with the cooked beef. Garnish with sesame seeds and optional fried egg.
