Description
These crispy Jalapeño Bites are stuffed with creamy cheese, coated in crunchy breadcrumbs, and fried to golden perfection. A quick and tasty appetizer everyone loves!
Ingredients
12 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup all-purpose flour
Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
Instructions
Prep your jalapeños
Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.Make the filling
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.Stuff the jalapeños
Spoon the cheesy filling into each jalapeño half.Bread them
Coat each stuffed jalapeño in flour → dip into beaten eggs → roll in breadcrumbs.Cook
To Fry: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry for 2–3 minutes until golden.
To Bake: Arrange on a sheet, spray with oil, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes.
Serve
Enjoy warm with ranch, chipotle mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For milder bites, soak jalapeños in cold water for 15 minutes after deseeding.
Add turkey bacon, chicken bacon, or chicken sausage for extra flavor.
For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes after baking.
