Ingredients
2 cups shredded hash browns (thawed)
1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 large egg
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
1–2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
Instructions
Mix: In a large bowl, combine hash browns, sausage, cheese, egg, and seasonings. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
Shape: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of mixture and form small patties or “bites.”
Cook:
Pan-Fry: Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Cook bites 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
OR Bake: Arrange on a greased sheet and bake at 400°F (205°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
Serve: Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside eggs, fruit, or toast.
Notes
Press out moisture from hash browns for extra crispiness.
