Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or breaded chicken cutlets)
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
4 slices of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or provolone)
4 slices of bread (ciabatta, sourdough, or sandwich rolls)
1–2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, garlic aioli
Instructions
Pound chicken to even thickness; season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook chicken: grill or pan-fry breaded chicken until golden and cooked through.
Toast bread with butter.
Assemble sandwich: layer chicken, cheese, and toppings on toasted bread.
Melt cheese under broiler or with a lid on skillet.
