  • Total Time: 40–45 minutes

Description

Mini apple pies with buttery crust and warm, spiced apple filling. Perfect for fall, holiday parties, or a simple sweet treat at home. Easy to make and beginner-friendly with pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

  • 34 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and diced

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp allspice

  • 1 tbsp flour

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Roll out pie crust and cut circles slightly larger than muffin tin openings. Press into lightly greased muffin cups.

  • In a bowl, mix diced apples with sugar, spices, flour, lemon juice, and melted butter until evenly coated.

  • Spoon filling into crust-lined muffin cups, filling to the top.

  • Cover with top crust, lattice, or cut-out shapes. Seal edges gently and brush with egg wash if desired.

  • Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown and filling bubbles. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from tin.

  • Serve warm, at room temperature, or with a drizzle of glaze or a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

Store baked pies in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or 4–5 days in the fridge.

Pies can be frozen individually for up to 2–3 months; thaw in the fridge before reheating.

Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for deeper flavor.
