For the Dough:

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • ¼ cup light brown sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon


Instructions

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

  • Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

  • Gradually add dry ingredients to form a soft dough.

  • Chill for 30 minutes.

  • Mix the filling ingredients in a small bowl.

  • Roll out dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly.

  • Roll into a log, wrap, and chill for 1 hour.

  • Slice into ¼-inch rounds and place on baking sheets.

  • Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes. Cool completely.

  • Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.
