Ingredients
For the Dough:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Filling:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
⅓ cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk or cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
Gradually add dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Mix the filling ingredients in a small bowl.
Roll out dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly.
Roll into a log, wrap, and chill for 1 hour.
Slice into ¼-inch rounds and place on baking sheets.
Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes. Cool completely.
Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.
Let set, then serve and enjoy.
