  • Author: David Tag
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Description

These Cheesy Taco Sticks are golden, gooey, and loaded with melty cheese, perfect for family dinners, game nights, or snack time. Soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, and bursting with flavor, they’re easy to make and customizable with your favorite proteins or spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas or puff pastry sheets

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, turkey bacon, or ground beef (optional)

  • 1 tsp taco seasoning

  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil, melted

  • Salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Lay out tortillas or puff pastry sheets and sprinkle evenly with cheddar and mozzarella. Add protein if using, and season with taco seasoning.

  • Cut the tortillas into strips and roll or twist them to form sticks, pinching ends to secure fillings.

  • Brush lightly with melted butter or olive oil for a golden finish.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  • Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.

Notes

Make smaller bite-sized sticks for kids or parties.

For extra flavor, sprinkle paprika or chili powder before baking.

Assemble ahead and store in the fridge; bake just before serving.
