  • Author: David Tag
  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Butter Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley or chives

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Toppings:

  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • ½ cup roasted cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ¼ cup toasted almonds or walnuts

  • Optional: edible flowers for garnish

To Serve:

  • Sourdough or baguette slices

  • Crackers or breadsticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Butter:
In a mixing bowl, whip softened butter with sea salt, cracked black pepper, parsley, and olive oil until fluffy.

  2. Spread on Board:
Place butter on a clean wooden or slate board and spread evenly in soft swirls to create a base for toppings.

  3. Add Toppings:
Evenly distribute turkey bacon, roasted cherry tomatoes, and toasted nuts across the butter surface. Garnish with edible flowers if desired.

  4. Serve with Bread:
Arrange sliced bread, crackers, or breadsticks around the board. Guests can spread butter and toppings onto their pieces directly.

  5. Optional Storage:
If leftovers remain, scrape the butter with toppings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5–7 days.

Notes

Variations: Swap turkey bacon for chicken sausage or beef ham for a meat-friendly version.

Vegetarian Option: Omit meat and add roasted veggies or sun-dried tomatoes.

Serving Tip: Keep board out no longer than 2 hours at room temperature for safety.

Make-Ahead: Whip the butter and prep toppings a day before for easy party setup.
