Ingredients
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, then fold in melted chocolate mixture.
Gently fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
Fold in optional mix-ins.
Scoop dough onto prepared sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake 10–12 minutes for small cookies, 12–15 minutes for large.
Cool on the baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
