Description

These Christmas Cranberry Meatballs are a perfect holiday appetizer that combines sweet and savory flavors. Perfect for holiday parties and easy to make ahead.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup fresh or canned cranberries

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup orange juice

  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • In a bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 1-inch meatballs.

  • Heat oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides. Set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add cranberries, brown sugar, orange juice, and balsamic vinegar. Simmer until cranberries burst.

  • Return meatballs to the pan, coat with cranberry sauce, and simmer for 15 minutes.
