These Christmas Cranberry Meatballs are a perfect holiday appetizer that combines sweet and savory flavors. Perfect for holiday parties and easy to make ahead.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup fresh or canned cranberries
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
Heat oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides. Set aside.
In the same skillet, add cranberries, brown sugar, orange juice, and balsamic vinegar. Simmer until cranberries burst.
Return meatballs to the pan, coat with cranberry sauce, and simmer for 15 minutes.
